On May 14, the Premier of Ontario announced that public libraries may restore delivery and pickup services as early as May 19, 2020. We are currently working on a plan to gradually reintroduce library services as restrictions are lifted. Curbside pick-up will be the first step, starting on June 1, 2020 with the following protocols in place:

· The service will be contactless and will be available by appointment only to maintain social distancing and keep everyone safe.

· Requests must be made online through the Library catalogue, by phone at 905-734-6210 ext. 2521 or at info@wellandlibrary.ca

· The service is to start June 1 and will operate between the hours of 9-5 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

· The service will be offered only at the Main Branch (downtown), and only items located at the Main Branch will be available for pickup.

· Staff will be available for readers advisory or other queries – call 905-734-6210 ext. 2521

· Patrons may return borrowed materials to the Main Branch drop box only.

We will investigate expanding the service as lockdown restrictions are eased. The next several weeks will be spent fine-tuning the rollout plan which both ensures the safety and wellbeing of patrons and staff.
