WPL joins the Libraries in Niagara Cooperative (LiNC)!

We have some exciting news!
On November 19 we will be migrating to a new library system and joining the Libraries in Niagara Cooperative (LiNC)!
There are a few things you should be aware of as we prepare to migrate to this new system.
Access to our online catalogue will be suspended the evening of November 15. Between November 15 and November 19 you will not be able to view your account, renew items, place holds, etc.
We are still open as usual from November 16 – 18, and you can continue to borrow items as usual. Any items you borrow from November 16 – 18 will appear on your account after November 19.
Late charges will be eliminated for all juvenile items (yay!) and there will be other minor changes to our fines, fees and loan periods to bring us in line with LiNC standards.
We cannot migrate your old item lists or charge history to the new system, so please save this information outside the catalogue if you wish to keep it.
What else does this mean for you?
Beginning January 4, 2021, you will be able to use your Welland Public Library card at any other library in the LiNC system, including Pelham Public Library, Thorold Public Library, Fort Erie Public Library, Niagara-on-the-Lake Public Library, Grimsby Public Library, Lincoln Public Library, and more! You will also be able to request items from these libraries for pickup at a WPL branch of your choosing.
We hope you’ll be as excited as we are about joining the Libraries in Niagara Cooperative. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!
