Welland Canal Fallen Workers Speaker Series Wraps Up

Tuesday night’s talk, “Helmet Diving from the Past,” by Mike Babiski marked the close of the 7-part Welland Canal Fallen Worker Speaker Series that began last fall.  The series, organized by Arden Phair and the Welland Canal Fallen Workers Memorial Committee, is in conjunction with the development and construction of a Fallen Workers Memorial which will be unveiled in late summer 2017 and located adjacent to Lock 3 in St. Catharines.

The Welland Public Library would like to thank Arden and the Committee for their hard work and dedication, and all of the speakers who came out and captivated audience after audience with their vast knowledge of this vital part of our local history.  And a huge thank you to all of you who were part of those audiences!
