The Library offers a variety of programs for children throughout the year:

Programs for Preschoolers

The parent or guardian must complete our Food Allergy Waiver when registering for any children’s program. Unless otherwise noted, programs for preschoolers are held in the Program Room.  For further information, please contact (905) 734-6210, extension 2522.

Bouncing Babies

  •  This is a 30 minute story time featuring movement rhymes, songs, and stories that appeal to the active child.  For newborns to 12-month-olds and their caregiver.

Busy Bodies

  • This program features rhymes, songs and stories that appeal to the active child.  For 12 to 23-month olds and their caregiver.

Tales for Twos

  • A 30 minute story time featuring stories, songs, finger plays and games that will help encourage language development and early reading skills.  For 2-year-olds accompanied by a caregiver.

Rock’n Tots

  • A non-traditional story time that will pique the interest of reading through the love of music (including rock and pop music, world music and more). This program is for newborns to 24 months with caregiver.

Creative Baby (6 to 23 months and caregiver)

  • Strengthen your child’s love of reading and language development in this fun and interactive program that uses a variety of materials to create baby friendly works of art.  Please bring an extra change of clothes for baby.FEE: $1.00 per program

Programs for School-Aged Children

The parent or guardian must complete our Food Allergy Waiver when registering for any children’s program.The Library offers a number of programs for children aged 5 and up throughout the year, including PA Days, March Break, Summer Reading, and more.  Check out our bi-monthly newsletter, The Boardwalk Banter, or visit our Program Calendar (http://welland NULL.evanced NULL.info/signup/calendar) for monthly programs.

 

Program Registration Guidelines

  1. It is recommended that children meet the minimum age requirement at the start of the program.
  2. Registration is required for most programs.  Register in person or by telephone.
  3. Payment for fee-based programs is required on or before the start date.
  4. Programs may be cancelled if minimum registration is not met at least two days before the start of the program.
  5. The parent or guardian must complete our Food Allergy Waiver when registering for any children’s program.
