The Welland Public Library¬†is a partner¬†with the Ontario Government to facilitate access to¬† programs and services available through the ServiceOntario (http://serviceontario NULL.ca/) website using the Library’s public Internet workstations.
With help from library staff, you can navigate the ServiceOntario website to find government information for businesses or individuals, as well as over 400 government forms available online. Many routine transactions, such as applying for a birth certificate or change of address for your health card or driver’s licence, can be completed online through the library website, using a major credit card if payment is required.
Partnering with Ontario Libraries is an excellent way to extend this information into the community.
ServiceOntario for Businesses
The Welland Public Library can play a significant role in supporting small/start-up businesses in our community. We provide access to a collection of business books, periodicals, journals and trade indexes, as well as business-related databases. Combined with access through the public computers to government business resources at ServiceOntario (http://www NULL.ontario NULL.ca/en/services_for_business/index NULL.htm), we can assist you with your business needs.
Library patrons whose business needs can best be met by the Welland Public Library include the self-employed, start-up entrepreneurs, and immigrant and rural entrepreneurs who start and/or run a small business.
