Celebrate Family Literacy Day Today!

In celebration of Family Literacy Day, the Welland Public Library will be hosting a Family Book-nic on Monday, January 27 from 5:30-6:00pm at the Diamond Trail Branch and from 6:00-7:00pm at the Main Branch.

This year’s Family Literacy Day is challenging families to have 15 minutes of fun learning together and the Library is playing along. Families will enjoy readings by our special celebrity readers, healthy nutritious snacks, fun activities and helpful tips that children of all ages will enjoy.

At the Diamond Trail Branch, stories will be read by: Fire Chief Denys Prevost and the Reading Granny.

Enjoy stories read at our Main Branch by: Deputy Mayor Paul Grenier and St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog.

Thank you to the Kiwanis Club of Welland for helping to make this program possible.
